Chicken Strips
Our family’s favorite chicken strips are Air Fried Parmesan Chicken Strips. Between the parmesan and the air fryer the exterior is delicious, and the interior remains juicy. We use chicken tenders or chicken breast cut into strips. We have served these for dinner or as snacks for a party, either way they are a hit with adult and kiddos alike. There is something amazing about air fried chicken strips, especially homemade ones.
Keeping it Simple
With the simplicity of the ingredients of this recipes, you certainly taste each one. That means that you taste the butter that soaked into the chicken and is help keeping it moist. You taste the parmesan in the coating. All of this comes together for tasty Air Fried Parmesan Chicken Strips, that are kiddo approved. From there, you can customize your own recipe. While you may even decide to have a dipping sauce, there is plenty of flavor and moisture in the meat, so no dipping sauce needed.

These crispy and juicy Air Fried Chicken Strips are so easy, and kiddo approved!
- 2 pounds chicken tenders or chicken breasts if using breast, cut them into strips
- 2 cups panko bread crumbs
- 1 cups parmesan cheese finely grated
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- spray avocado oil or other spray oil without additives
-
Mix panko bread crumbs, salt and parmesan together in dish.
-
Dip chicken tenders in melted butter, then into panko/parmesan mixture. Ensure tenders are completely coated.
-
Set chicken tender aside on a large plate or baking pan.
-
Repeat process with remaining chicken tenders, until all are coated.
-
Spray chicken tenders with avocado oil, evenly. Gently turn chicken tenders over and spray again with oil.
-
Place coated chicken tenders in air fryer basket, allowing room to move between chicken tenders. (In my 5.8 quart basket I can fit 3-5 chicken tenders at a time, depending on size.)
-
Cook chicken strips for 9-10 minutes at 380F in air fryer, flipping over half way through. Repeat cooking batches until all chicken strips have been cooked.
-
Serve and enjoy!
