Fried mushrooms are a favorite snack or appetizer (and occasionally a side). Making them at home in my air fryer makes them even easier to enjoy (and harder to say no to).
Wipe any surface dirt from mushrooms. Cut your mushrooms into quarters.
Combine wet dredging ingredients together, in a dish or a bowl.
Combine dry dredging mix ingredients (or use about 1.5 to 2 cups of KFO Dry Dredging Mix recipe).
Coat a mushroom in the wet dredging mixture, until well coated. Allow excess to drip off.
Move mushroom to dry mixture, coating it well. Place on plate.
Repeat last 2 steps, until mushrooms are all coated.
Spray mushrooms with oil, generously. Flip mushrooms and repeat.
Add prepared mushrooms to basket of air fryer (this was test on a basket style air fryer), allowing room for air to circulate around mushrooms.
Cook mushrooms in air fryer at 400F for 7 minutes (stop and flip them over half way through cooking).
Serve and enjoy! Great with your favorite ranch dip.
I used Emeril's Essence Creole Seasoning recipe for my creole seasoning.
My Dry Dredging Mix is a great base recipe, that you can add extra flavor to. I make a larger amount of it, and use what I need.
